I am famous! And not by my ancestry.
Today at work, I read a testimony from a Klove listener. They are going to put it on the air. Soooo… go here and find if you have a Klove station around you so you can listen for me or you can go here and stream it online.
I was actually kind of shocked that they wanted ME to read for them… I proceeded to tell them that in high school, I used to read the bulletins over the income. That was until I was instructed I can no longer do it after butchering the report so bad and making our class look like a complete idiot. I’m sorry I got nervous and pronounced “academy” and “Ack-a-dem-ey” and then proceeded to sound it out about 3 times, while live on the air. I am also sorry that I had never heard of “La Boheme” and pronounced it “La Bo-hem-ie”… I guess these are good reason to my reporting rights away from me. HOWEVER- Mrs. Kellem, the producer at Klove said I did a GREAT job and he doesn’t understand why someone wouldn’t allow me to read the bulletin anymore. I guess the difference was, in high school we read the bulletin LIVE. Today, it was recorded and edited…doesn’t really matter that I had to read the testimony about 57 times before getting one that was not choppy, dismantled or butchered. He still said it was good… but I have the ability to spot a good lair and he was good.
So if you happen o turn on Klove and hear this story and it is being read by a really cool girl who happens to sound 10 when she is on the radio…
“Last night, I was driving home in the snow. I am a chicken to begin with but even more so in the snow, since I had just seen a car slide off the road. What normally takes me 30 mins to get home, took 45-but the whole way home I was listening to Klove and know that God was right by my side and keeping me safe. I was able to get home in time to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday with him. Thank you so much for the great music that you play"
……then you can say, “Hey, That’s Stevie!”
