3 Day Weekend Recap

What a wonderful relaxing 3-day weekend, I don't want it to be over!

Friday night Matt and I went to Felipe's, the best Mexican food ever. (Unless you are Jaime or my family-in-law who for some reason don't love it!)

Saturday….. hmmm…. oh yes, it was rainy. Matt and got up early to go garage selling but none was having one, since it was raining. We then decided to take a short drive to Grass valley. We have always wanted to take a drive up there. When we got there, we had breakfast at a really good breakfast place then drove around and looked at all the cute Victorian homes. It was such a nice morning.. Then we came home and I can't remember what we did… I think cleaned?? To far ago to remember. I am so mad i didnt bring my camera for our road trip!

Saturday night at 10 pm ( SO very late for us, I can't remember the last time we were away from the house at 10 pm) we went and saw Indiana Jones with Jaime and Ake. This is there last weekend here before they move off to Washington DC. We are so sad. If we could, we would hide them under our bed so no one could find them and they could stay.

Sunday I went grocery shopping, which is my usual Sunday routine. Something about a full fridge makes me happy.

Maybe because I know I wont have the go grocery shop for another week. The sad thing is, I don't like to grocery shop…but even sadder is knowing I will have to do this at least 3x a month for the rest of my life! So I guess I'll get over it

Monday, today, we went shopping at Lowes. We got new Levolor blinds for the living room and kitchen. I cant believe what a difference new wood blinds can make. Anything is better then the old drity dingy aluminum ones we had though.

Along with the blinds, we got 6 plants marked down to $2 a piece and our find of the day… Weed and Feed grass fertilizer, to kill the weeds and stickers, this Weed and Feed was priced at 31.47 for the big bag which we were going to get because we really needed it… well we found a the same bag with a little hole it in… because of this hole, it was marked down to….ready???? $1.00…that's right one Dollar!!!! I could not believe it. Combined with Matt's discount for Memorial Day, we saved $55.47!! Man, it was a good day.

After coming home and putting up the blinds, we re-arranged the furniture. We don't do change too well but I think this may work for us

A few hours later, here I am…blogging and watching an awkward serial killer movie and listening to Matt and Kenny do the commentaries for it…I doubt I will ever be able to watch a movie in silence.
