Adrenaline rush

Hello, my name is Stevie and I am Buy1Get1 Sale Coupon Dealoholic.

So I quit the coupon game because I just didn’t really want to spend the time. Well I was talking with Amy at work about saving money and mentioned the Grocery Game. To my surprise, she has just signed up and was about ready to save lots. So she convinced me to start it again and we could work as a team to save lots.

I got the Sunday paper and saved all my coupons. I went to a farmers market and got all my fruits and veggies cheap! I’m talking like 10$ for Avocados, Banana’s, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Cilantro, Red onions, Green onions, Cantaloupe and Grapes.

Yesterday I got online and decided I needed to go to Rite Aid to pick up some stuff after work. Well after I got home and was going through my new ads that came in the mail, I saw Rite Aids. I almost forgot to go to Rite Aid!! So I had a small panic attack “What if someone is buying the last toothpaste!!HURRY”

I arrive to Rite Aid. Get out my coupons. Head for the aisles. 30 mins go by… I proceed to check out.

Young cashier guy says: “Bargain Shopper?”
Me: “Yes”
Young Kid: “Aren’t you a little young to be bargain shopping with coupons?”
Me: “You are never too young to save money”
…
Me: Did that ring up FREE. It was suppose to ring up FREE. If it didn’t ring up FREE I don’t want it.
Young kid: I think it rang up free.

Pay for my stuff and head home.

Once I get home I add up my savings. OH NO!! I bought the wrong deodorant and I paid full price for 2 at $3.79 each. I am major bummed. I’ll take them back tomorrow.

I had such an adrenaline rush that I tried to go to sleep after getting home but I couldn’t. All I could think about was.. “How could I have spent $3.79 on each deodorant…” “I love saving money”…

I roll over and tell Matt I cant sleep

Matt: Why?
Me: because I am too excited about all the money I saved”
Matt: Are you serious??!!?
Me: Yes. It’s almost $40.00
Matt: You are seriously weird sometimes.
ME: You can call me weird, but I am up $40.00!!
