We left for Texas when Matt got off work on Friday, around 3 pm. Since we were both pretty tired, we stocked up on the necessities we would need in order to drive 16.5 hours.
We arrived early Saturday morning and took it easy the rest of the day.
Sunday, we headed to Oklahoma to see some family and to do a small pre-Christmas gathering.
The rest of the week was spent finishing up last minute Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, eating and gaining 6 lbs (if you’re me)!
Christmas Eve came and we all opened our Christmas Eve gift.... Pajama's!
This one is funny...
Everyone was pretty tired
We went shopping the day after Christmas, but there weren't any good sales going on which was kind of disappointing. It didn't keep us from the 8 stores and 10 hrs we spent shopping though and I think this year I out-shopped my MIL.
Before we went to bed on Christmas Eve, I thought I would set my little B-I-L's clock back so we could maybe get an extra hour of sleep in the morning.... Well as it turned out, I didn't set it back, I set it forward! We were woken up at 4 am and told to get up! CJ's clock said 5 am... not 4.
5 am is better than 4 am, although I think if I didn't set it forward he still would have woken everyone up by 4 am. He was pretty excited.
An hour later, the house looked like this.
And we looked like this....before heading back to bed for another 3 hours

We said a sad goodbye on Saturday and headed home... We were so happy to get to go to Texas again in such a short time. Usually we only make it there once a year and we have already been twice!
