Flying!

Moving is stressful!

Before our plans were to fly me home and then Matt and the dogs would drive back. Drive that awful awful drive! Well, plans have changed. Everyone is flying now!

At first I wasn't really up to the idea of the dogs flying since most airlines have a breed restriction on flying during the summer. Short nosed dogs can over heat easily and die!

We found Continental Airline has a special pet program for flying pets. They are kept in a pressurized spot of the plane and when they are switched to a new plane during their layover, they will be taken there in an air conditioned van.

The dogs will be going to the Vet next Friday so they can get a certificate of health stating they can fly. They also got 2 new crates.

Sadly, we couldn't get them a flight the same day I leave so we are shipping them out the night before. They will arrive in Sacramento Friday, Sept 18th, around 8:30 pm. My Mom and Dad will pick them up.... Then I fly into Sacramento at 10:30 the next morning.

It will be SO nice to have the dogs with me and allow Matt to finish up everything here and not have to worry about them. Plus, the dogs will be SOOO happy to see everyone again. I know Niquie is going to have IBS and Baxter is going to cry and cry!! He will probably jump right into the pool the second he gets there!!

I leave in 15 days. It seems so far away still. I wish I could fall asleep and wake up in 2 weeks!
