Porch Re-Do!

A few years ago we ripped up the outdoor carpet on our front porch and laid slate tile...well the slate tile was laid on a slab that was uneven, so every time it rained, the water would not drain off and instead just pooled right in front of the door so this past month the porch was re-done and it looks so great!!

First, all the old tile had to be ripped up, which took 2 days since we were trying to salvage as many of them as we could. A new layer of concrete was laid on top to even level out the top. Then new tile was laid on top.

This time though, we added tile around the edging and made it look more complete. Matt did such a great job. I am happy he is a perfectionist!

This past weekend we put back the railing that had been off since about the time we move into the house. That only took about 2 hours from start to finish. The house looks wonderful!!
