Matt built it with the help from my Dad. I do need to mention that my Mom, Sister and I also played a huge part in it by staining every piece of wood before it was put up. However, we don't have any funky tan lines/burns like Matt, who basically fried while putting the top on the pergola. He is in a lot of pain in this photo.

6x6 posts are installed and the 2x8's are going up (lumber talk)
The 1x6's are installed on the top
Then the 2x2's were installed on top. This process took the longest... about 2 full days. This is where Matt got burnt by sitting on the top for 8 hrs.
