2 weeks ago, Matt and I had our 1 year anniversary. Man did it fly by fast!
One year ago, I met my Father-in-law and 2 Brother-in-laws for the first time.
Matt was really sick with the flu, which later led to Shingles.
The cost of our wedding is STILL on our credit cards, which we will be paying off in many years to come
We went on the longest 10 day cruise to the Caribbean with the oldest people ever!
I managed to gain all 12 lbs back that I had lost before the wedding, eating nothing but cheesecake and French fries….(No, it was not worth it)
I came home with a really nice tan and more money racked up on my Visa.
This year for our anniversary, we took a trip to Apple Hill. We woke up and took the doggies to my mothers house and then headed up the hill. We brought our picnic basket and planned to bring a lunch, but after visiting the store, we couldn’t find anything we wanted to eat.

Once we got to Apple Hill, we walked around and looked at lots of little vendors at the High Hill Ranch. We had Apple Beer and Apple Wine; we picked out pumpkins and then ate some of the best Sour Cream Apple Pie I have EVER tasted. I could really go for a piece of that again!
We then drove home, picked up the doggies and then carved our pumpkins!
It was a very nice and relaxing day. I LOVE to get out of town for a day. Most of the time it’s hard to convince Matt though but I guess since it was our anniversary he gave in.
For our 1 year anniversary gifts, I got him a really nice huge framed map of the world which is now hanging in our living room. He loved it.
Matt got me slate tile. About 5 boxes of it. I now have a beautiful slate tiled front porch that I love to sit on and also helped raise the value of our home! My husband is very handy!
About a week after our 1 year anniversary, Matt turned 23. It was a Monday and I had to work, but I got up super early and went to the store to get French Toast stuff for breakfast. (He's a photo of Matt and Baxter just after waking up)
After I got off of work, I came home and cooked him Lasagna, Garlic Bread and Salad. Very Yummy, as you can tell by Matt's thumbs up...I could also go for a piece of that right now, as well. I don't mean to brag, but I do make a killer Lasagna =)
Overall, our 1 year as Mr. & Mrs. has been absolutely perfect.
I just hope that next year at this time we will have a little baby to include…
Oh yeah…This Saturday marks the 1 year anniversary of the first time we saw our house. I’ll post more on that later.
