Yes, it was as bad as I thought it would be. The worst part was the numbing with the needles. After the numbing, I almost passed out because I got myself all worked up and crying. After I calmed down, the doc began cutting. The cutting didn't hurt at all since I was numb. It was weird though watching the doc pull and tug at my cheek with a scalpel, scissors and exact-o knife.
Matt was able to stay with me and hold my hand. We forgot the camera though, which sucks! I bet the photos would have been great, especially the one where the doctor yelled at me for freaking out when he told me that it was needle time.
The doctor thought it was also funny to crack jokes while I was crying. Ones like, "Good to know you wont be a drug addict and shoot drugs into your veins"…. Or "I guess you won't be getting any face lifts or botox injects anytime soon"… he then went on to ask if we have any children. When I said, "No" he said, "OH BOY!!!"
After digging out the cyst, he said it was very large and had been there a long time. It even formed its own little sack, like a baby! GROSS
I finally got it over with and I'm very proud of myself
Now, I have a nice scar to prove it!
WARNING-
View discretion is advised. These photos may make you sick and ill. I apologize ahead of a time
Before the surgery
The doctor's markings. If it turned out they it wasn't a cyst, then they would have had to cut that whole area out! luckily, they didn't
6 little stitches that will be taken out in 1 week
Half of my face was numb for about 7 hours. I looked like I either was trying to be Elvis or I suffered a stroke
