I'm still debating whether or not I should take the dogs for a walk… its not sunny outside. It looks like one of those "lounge on the couch with a blanket, movie and tub of Ice Cream" kind of days. I know that the dogs would really enjoy the walk and it would be nice to work off the entire back off cookies I just ate… but I just don't know if I can pull myself off of this comfy couch.
I think I'll think about it some more.
I really can't wait until spring time. I can't wait for our backyard to be green and blooming again. It's sad to see it dormant and dead. I think I need to stop watching HGTV. All they ever do on there is decorate and garden! I'm not really a fan of this Survivor Man show, but if I watch HGTV all weekend, like I did last weekend, I will go shopping again and spend money I don't have to redo rooms in my house that are perfectly fine the way they are.
I do feel like I have spring fever though…in January.
Everything is so ugly right now.
I just miss the way it looked during summer.
I'm hoping this year to fill in the flowerbeds that we made last year, with flowers and bushes that last! I'm not going for anymore annual flowers that die. I want sometime low maintenance, easy and pretty! I already started making my flower list of thing I need to get. I just need to hide it and find it again in the spring time.
I have, however, gotten a few new plants for Christmas from my Mom. She got us a Camellia tree and 2 Blue Point Junipers which I attempted to spiral. It was either pay $100.00 for the spiral ones for $20.00 for ones that I could spiral myself. I butchered them pretty bad I think, but they will grow back and fill in. Once they do, they will be the best spiral Juniper plants ever!
We are also planning on finishing our back yard fence this spring and putting up a new pergola! Which I can not wait to have! (sample photo)
