One clean bunch

Our bathroom is complete

Matt got to take the first shower last night. Really, it probably should not have been used until today, but there was no way I wanted to spend another night with a guy who had been working hard for the past 5 days and hadn't showered yet…

I took my first shower this morning. It wasn't that weird though. It doesn't seem like I haven't taken an actually "shower" in 16 months. A shower was one of the first things we said we were going to put in, along with a dish washer and garbage disposal. After 16 months, we now have one of the three things.

It looks pretty awesome though. Although it is new tile and new to the house, if you didn't know it didn't exist before, you would have thought it had been there since the house was built. It just fits perfectly.

Matt went to his follow up appointment and was instructed to take it easy. So I guess retiling the floor will have to wait. I can't remember if I mentioned before, but we are going to rip out the tile we laid last year at this time and replace it with white hex tile. It brings the bathroom back to what it would have looked like in the 1920's.

Here is our progress from 16 months ago until now.

Man, my husband is one very handy guy. One very broken handy guy, that is!!! I don't think I could have picked a better one to marry =)
