Happily Domesticated: Good Bye Ake's

Today we lost our friends. They are gone. Moving far far away. It seems like over the last month we have hung out with them every chance we got because we knew the end was near. Today is that end.

We are going to miss hanging out with them on Saturday and Sunday’s and playing endless games of Taboo where we girls will always win by at least 20 points. I’ll miss my camera talks with Ake. I will miss the heated debates that Matt and Jaime would get into..except that was only when she was pregnant… either her hormones were wacky then or she just gave up =) ..and I dont know if I really miss them

We are going to miss watching the movies and eating dinners and getting fat with each other. I will miss my and Jaime’s talks into how we could convince Matt that that we SHOULD have a baby! Although im pretty sure Matt won’t miss those. (sorry for this photo Jamie. It's the only other one I had of us..why did we never take photos of us?)

I think in about a week or two it will sink in for Matt that his best friend has left. He has other friends around here, but none that could replace Ake.

If it wasn’t for Ake’s help, we would probably still be painting out house…….

Ake probably wouldn’t have gotten hurt by the falling branch Matt cut down over his heard…

If it wasn’t for Ake, Matt wouldn’t have a buddy to climb the trees with.

This morning Ake, Jaime, Emerson and the dog and cat came to say goodbye. Ake was running late and Matt couldn’t be late to work so Matt didn’t get to officially say goodbye. I bet it is really hard leaving your family and the only place you have ever lived.

Look at this set up. Emerson in the middle of the truck. You have a fan and a toy for him to stare at, strapped to the seat. Buddy (massive dog) in the back seat with the cat. The car side doors are organized with water bottles and baby food.... man what a lot of work. I'm thinking to save time you can just leave that baby here with me?? You can keep the fan though... I already have one

I am excited though because I know Matt with want to visit Ake as much as possible and I love to travel!! So we are already planning our trip to Washington DC!

So good Bye Ake Family. Here is a hug. We will see you in a few months.

I promise...if you ever come to our house again, we will have the crown molding put up in the bedroom... hopefully =)

And dont worry...we'll live by each other again. Ake and I are starting a photography business...did he tell you?
