This is going to be such a nice week I have ahead of myself. I have a 4 day weekend and I have nothing but fun things planned.
4th of July will be spent at my mom’s house swimming in the pool and catching some rays while allowing my body to produce vitamin D and use it’s calcium. I know...kind of random, but in case you didn’t know, you can get vitamin D from the sunshine. Vitamin D is a vitamin that helps your body use calcium. Calcium is a mineral that gives strength to your bones and teeth. It also helps your muscles and nerves function properly! So… I will be getting healthy this weekend while lying in the pool!
After the swimming, we plan on coming back to our house where our family, Matt’s friend Kenny and my best friend Juggz and her 3 roommates will be partaking in a nice little BBQ under the stars while watching the firework show from a nearby fairground.
Should be wonderful.
Saturday I want to go garage selling. I went last weekend and I made out pretty good. Here is some of the stuff I got.
3 candle pillars- all 3 for $1.00…. they were nice before but they look even better spray painted black.
I will post some photos soon of how they look in the house. They are great!
I got an old ice chest that I was going to give my dad (he collects them...I know, it’s a weird collection. He also collects wagons, like the radio flyer ones. Normally they only have 3 wheels. My Mom has cut him off from his wagon collection)…but Matt has decided he wants it. So this avocado beauty is now ours. This always seems to happen. If my dad has something cool, then Matt wants it. If my dad doesn’t give it to him (which most of the time he will) he will go a buy a bigger and better one. This is just Matt…His mom will agree (Remember when Sam got a mustang?? 1 day later, matt had a mustang…come to find out, Sam never got a mustang and it was all a joke)
So here is my vintage ice chest…$10
I am also starting a White Dish collection. All of you keep your eyes out! All different types of dishes and anything white but they have to be cheap… like under 5$. I love the look of it. So simple yet clean and pretty. I took it from the Nester. She is wonderful. I am also copying her on something else, but I will post later on it if it turns out ok.
So here is my white dish (plus a silver platter) I got… guess how much I paid for the 4 ceramic canisters, 1 antique tea pot, 4 plates made in England and the silver palter?? Guess…. Give up??...$13!!!
Lastly well throw in a cute pot for the front porch that was $2.00
Top it off with a grilled cheese and well call it a day!
Hopefully this weekend I can find more white stuff to add to my collect… right after I replenish my vitamin D source!
