Niquie's Hope for a Cure

I’m am pretty excited right now.

No, not because I got a camera (because I haven’t yet) but because I have found a CHEAP way to treat our dogs mange. If you remember about 6 months ago, our dog had a bad case of mange and with the medicine plus Vet visits would be spending about $200 every 3 weeks. Well, since Matt didn’t have a job yet, we were only able to take her to the vet once and did not finish the treatment. Luckily, the mange went away... until now.

Since we are getting ready to move to Ohio, there is no way we could afford $200 every 3 weeks for the meds and Vet visits again, so I started doing some “googling” to find home remedies and meds to cure her.

Much to my surprise, I found something that is sold at our local feed store that is commonly used in livestock animals as a heart worm prevention, but with the correct dosage it will kick those mange mites out! The down side was I didn’t know if it was safe or what the correct dosage was. rather and overdosing my dog, I thought I was at a dead end.

Then it dawned on my last night, my friend Amanda works at a Vet! And she has Boxers… I'm sure she has some type of knowledge and would be able to help me. With Niquie's last hope, I sent her a message.

Today my happy eyes read wonderful words!! She too has Boxers and has the same problem I am having. I should be able to treat the mange for only $50 and that $50 should cover the entire 3 month treatment!!!(this has been approved by her Vet) Man, I am excited!!! So I will go this weekend to get the meds and hopefully in a few weeks she will be back to her good ol' dog chasing self!!
