10 hours on the road

This morning we woke up around 3 am only to discover it was POURING. Of course it does this on the day we plan to leave. Since it was raining, the dogs refused to go to the bathroom. After loading up the rest of our bedding and air mattress we said good bye to our house. Yes, I cried. I stood on my front steps and bawled. Matt locked the first door and I locked the screen door and that was it. Good-bye my house. I always thought I would bring a baby home in this house and raise them playing in our cute little backyard and we would go for family walks at night around the neighborhood… change of plans I guess. There must be something better for us. Maybe I had to move because I will end up having triplets and my tiny house would have been way too small??

We got off to a great start. We were on the road by 430 am. We were making great time until we came to a dead STOP. For 1.5 hours. A big rig had taken a corner to sharp and had rolled his truck taking up both lanes of I-80. After CHP dragged the truck to the side to open a lane, we all started moving again.

We are currently almost to Elko, NV and it just started sprinkling again. So far we have stopped 3 times for bathroom/dog breaks. I am so tired and think I might take a nap since I am on next driving shift…and this typing is making me car sick.

Here are some photos of the trip this far… including some hot springs and the town of Pucker Bush! haha
