Christmas Time

Today started day #1 of my early decorating for Christmas, which happens to be in 45 days. They are predicting some snow fall by this Saturday.

To get ready for the holidays, you need to get all your holiday décor out and take inventory. By doing this, you will know what you have and what items you will still need to get this year.

Last year I shopped my butt off in Texas with my M-I-L and toted it all back with us in our car, along with our dog and luggage for 1700 miles. It was worth it! When I look at my inventory, I am quite happy with the amount of stuff I have accumulated considering last year I only had about 1/3 of this pile….and I still think I am missing a few bins.

My plan was to just decorate the house a little each day and pace myself, but yesterday as I was putting things away I realized my “little a day” decorating had turned into decorating almost the entire house. Matt likes what I have done so far, but he says he wants to get past Thanksgiving before feeling like its Christmas. I just tell myself that there are people out there who decorate early. Like Better Home and Garden Magazine. They feature people in their homes with their holiday décor… but now that I think about it, those are probably people from last year and they have just been hanging onto the photos and stories…

Well, Better Home and Garden, I am all ready for Christmas…I am also available 7 days a week for an interview. That’s if you still haven’t sent the BHG Christmas issue to the prints yet.
My camera is on it’s way back to me so for the past few days I have been using a super old digital 2.0 mp one… The camera on my phone takes better photos than this camera. But, I can’t complain. At least I have a camera to use. So this is my warning that the upcoming photos are not going to be grand.

Now that most of the house is decorated, I feel like I can shift my attention to others areas that I haven’t decorated before… Like Holiday bedding…. Holiday shower curtains…Stay tuned
